Chinese Pulav
Ingredients:
Rice (washed) – 5 cups
Pork (sliced into 1″ pieces) – 200 gms
Spinach or spring onions (chopped) – 200 gms.
Dried mushroom (soaked) – 3
Bamboo shoots (chopped) – 2
Oil – 3 tbsps
Soya sauce – 2 tbsps
Cooking wine (vinegar) -11/2 tbsps
Ajinomoto – pinchful
Sugar – to taste
Salt – to taste
Method: Marinate the pork with 1 tbsp soya sauce, 1/2 tbsp vinegar for 1 hour.
Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed pan. Drain meat and fry until golden brown. Add the bamboo shoots, mushrooms, spinach or spring onions and seasoning. Also add rice along with 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Simmer covered till well-cooked. Serve hot.
