Chinese Style Steamed Rice

Ingredients:
Long grained rice (washed and draintd) – 1 cup
Oil – 1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Salt - to taste

Method: Heat oil in a pan, add salt and water and
bring to a boil. Add the rice and once again bring to a boiling point. Cook uncovered for about 1-2 minutes. Stir and cook covered till the rice is tender. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve with vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes piping hot.
